Knee Arthroplasty: With or Without Patellar Component?

Abstract: Arthroplasty is used when there is irreversible damage to the articular cartilage of the knee. It involves implanting a bicompartimental (femoral and tibial components) or a tricompartimental (femoral, tibial and patellar components) prosthesis.
