Abstract: Let $C_c^{*}(\mathbb{N}^{2})$ be the universal $C^{*}$ -algebra generated by a semigroup of isometries $\{v_{(m,n)}\,:\, m,n \in \mathbb{N}\}$ whose range projections commute.
