Klinische Forschung zur Anthroposophischen Medizin – Update eines «Health Technology Assessment»-Berichts und Status Quo

Abstract: Hintergrund und Fragestellung: 2005 wurde ein «Health Technology Assessment»(HTA)-Bericht zu Wirksamkeit, Sicherheit, Wirtschaftlichkeit und Bedarf der Anthroposophischen Medizin (AM) erstellt. “…AM patients showed significantly higher treatment satisfaction in all of the five items than CON patients. These results are consistent with other studies demonstrating high patient satisfaction with AM 15 12. For instance, in a Dutch survey (Consumer Quality Index, a national standard to measure healthcare quality from the perspective of healthcare users), 2099 patients reported very high satisfaction with anthroposophic GP practices (8.4 on a scale: 0–10, 10 indicating the best possible score) 17.…”

These results are consistent with AM theory, which emphasises relationship and communication, as well as shared decision-making 12. More AM patients expressed a general treatment satisfaction (56.1% vs. 43.4%, p<0.001) and saw their expectations completely fulfilled at follow-up (38.7% vs. 32.6%, p<0.001).…”

“…A Health-Technology Assessment Report and a 2011 update identified 265 clinical studies on the efficacy and effectiveness of anthroposophic medicine. [21][22][23] The integrative treatment approach with anthroposophic medicine seemed helpful in this case, but separating out how the specific therapies contributed to the overall progress is not feasible. Medications play a limited role in treatment of PRS.…”
