Kinetic and Mechanistic study of Oxidative Transformation of Some Amino acid by Pyridiniumchlorochromate in DMF-Water Medium

Abstract: Oxidation of L-isoleucine and L-valine by [25, 30, 35, 40, 45,50⁰C] and activation parameters were computed. The effect of dielectric constant of the medium on the rate was studied. A mechanism consistent with the observed results has been proposed.
