Abstract:Homeostatic synaptic plasticity adjusts the strength of synapses to restrain neuronal activity within a physiological range. Postsynaptic GKAP controls the bidirectional synaptic scaling of AMPA receptors (AMPARs) however how chronic activity triggers postsynaptic protein remodeling to downscale synaptic transmission is barely understood.
