“…This finding coheres with previous reports exhibiting a direct/indirect nephrotoxic outcome by the venom because, besides the information on last paragraph, it also produces the release of many modulators and mediators such as neurotransmitters, cytokines; oxygen-free radicals, and lipidic solutions [46][47][48]. This development is present in C. margaritatus [49], Hottentota gentili [50]; T. nororientalis [51], Androctonus australis hector [46]; Androctonus liouvillei [47], and T. caripintensis [48], along other specimens from the Buthidae family.…”

“…The mice group treated with dexamethasone resulted in lower levels of AST and ALT yet it was not comparable to the A. Indica extract treatment showed highly diminished levels of AST and ALT suggesting that the liver damage was controlled in more proportion to administration of A. indica. The inflammation was confirmed by observing the enhanced activity of EPO, a marker of eosinophilic inflammation (Saidani et al, 2019). In this study, the activity of EPO enhanced in smoke-induced mice was suppressed on administration of A. indica extract at both doses and perhaps the bioactive compounds of A. indica were responsible for the anti-inflammatory effect.…”

“…The toxicity of Hemiscorpius lepturus scorpion venom to renal parenchyma induced signs of the damaged tubule, renal glomerulus 43 besides tubular inflammatory cell infiltration and hemorrhage by injection of Androctonus australis hector scorpion venom. 44 The neurological symptoms induced by the Am and Bo venoms are mostly related to nervous structures. These symptoms are observed after 60 min of envenomation, which were positively correlated to the time where severe damages in the brain tissue were detected.…”
