Key issues of the development of social intelligence of children in foreign and Russian science

Abstract

<jats:p>The article reveals the problems of development of social intelligence in the history of foreign and Russian research. Topicality is determined by the issue being studied, confirmed by works that mark the growth of problems in the development of personality. Approaches to the concept of "social intelligence" are analysed, a historical analysis of its formation is presented. Age periods of the development of social intelligence are briefly described (Jean Piaget, Robert L. Selman, Erwin P. Lacanlale), variations of its models (Stephen Greenspan, John Driscoll, Robert J. Sternberg). An analysis of the existing concepts in relation to the social and mental intelligence is presented. Studies on the senior preschool age are analysed, having an important role in the development of social intelligence. Studies on the prerequisites of social intelligence are considered, its relationship with the ability to reflect. A brief analysis of modern research on the formation of social intelligence in childrenwithout health problems and with developmental disorders is presented.</jats:p>

Social intelligence in 6-7-year-old children: features and application results of pedagogical diagnostics
