In contrast to the aforementioned blue‐chip companies, they tend to view customers as the most important stakeholder group and consider CSR to be a way to establish stable and positive relationships with their clients (Bataeva et al, 2018; Cheglakova et al, 2018). Overall, these companies seem to fit the definition of CSR as a voluntary activity that goes beyond meeting legal obligations (Carroll & Shabana, 2010; Dahlsrud, 2008), even though a very limited number of them actually endorse CSR as a consistent strategic effort.…”
