Cloud storages are currently crucial for data storage due to the rapid rise in data demand. However, there are security concerns with cloud computing, such as holes that allow hackers to access or edit data. Such that the data security algorithms are utilized. The primary issue is how to securely distribute the encryption key among users, which is why numerous techniques have been created. Hackers may be able to access the secret key with the use of cutting-edge quantum computers. To avoid those problems quantum key distribution methods are developed. The presented work uses some preprocessing techniques like shifting and binary conversion together with block re-ordering method, fuzzification process, and block re-ordering method to identify and address side channel assaults, one of the issues in the quantum key distribution algorithms. By minimizing security losses, the Binary Conversion and Block Reordering with Fuzzification procedure improve the accuracy and authenticity of the data. According to the experimental findings, the mean rate of security harms using Binary Conversion and Block reordering with Fuzzifcation method is 0.69, whereas the mean rate using conventional approaches is 11.0, with standard deviations of 0.3785 and 6.055, respectively.

The Information Technology era supports the adoption of Cloud Computing (CC) on a large scale in many business fields, at which the Financial Institutions (i.e., Banking sector) is not an exception. Several gaps were found during an attempted literature reviewing. While several CC methods, strategies, or frameworks have been proposed or utilized for CC adoption in many economic sectors including the Financial institutes (FI)- Banking, it is still a relatively new initiative in many other countries including Bahrain. While Enterprise Architecture (EA) is claimed to be a leading information and business management discipline to develop an architecture that guides the transformation to CC adoption of an enterprise from a baseline state to a target state. However, there is an evident lack of scholarly articles on the development of CC adoption frameworks from EA perspective. Also, it was found that scholarly articles in the evaluation of CC adoption framework are scarce. To address those gaps, this paper aims at developing and evaluating a CCAFF for the CC adoption in Bahraini Banks by adapting a tailored version of the Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) and embedding a tailored version of an enterprise cloud adoption strategy (ECAS) and then evaluating the CCAFF based on several criterions. A six phased Design Science Research Methodology (DSRM) is employed to design the research report, guide, and develop the CCAFF, while the exploratory nature of the research necessitates the employment of a holistic single Case Study strategy for an FI-01 bank, based on semi structured interviews and document analysis data collection techniques. Alongside, the data was analyzed using pattern matching technique. For the CCAFF evaluation, Delphi technique was employed at which seven experts in two rounded panels contribute to the evaluation findings based on six criterions. The evaluation findings demonstrated promising results in terms of ease of use (86.4%), usefulness (84.6%), decision making support (86.6%), comprehensiveness (85.8%), time efficiency (84.8%), and usage intention (84.8%).

Purpose The purpose of this study is to investigate the adoption of cloud computing as a digital technology by small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and assess its impact on sustainability of such enterprises. Design/methodology/approach A model was developed that featured factors influencing SMEs sustainability. Primary quantitative data was gathered using a survey as an instrument. Total set of n = 387 responses were gathered using a convenience sampling method. Findings Findings reveal that cost reduction, ease of use, reliability and sharing and collaboration factors have significant statistical impacts on SMEs sustainability, whereas privacy and security factor has no significant statistical on SMEs sustainability. Practical implications The study poses significant implications on managers and SME development authority to create an inductive environment for technological support for SMEs’ sustainability. Originality/value The study enhances SMEs’ performance and sustainability by upgrading their existing information and communications technology as a digital infrastructure and benefiting from novel IT-based cloud revolution. Several studies have provided an understanding of the use of cloud computing services in SMEs but lack enough information about the challenges and impact on SMEs sustainability.
