Kernel method based on non-linear coherent states in quantum feature space

Abstract: In this paper, by mapping datasets to a set of non-linear coherent states, the process of encoding inputs in quantum states as a non-linear feature map is re-interpreted. As a result of the fact that the Radial Basis Function is recovered when data is mapped to a complex Hilbert state represented by coherent states, non-linear coherent states can be considered as a natural generalisation of the associated kernels. In this paper, as an example of kernels based on non-linear coherent states, we propose kernel fu… Show more

“…Traditional biological experiments have the disadvantage of long lead times and high costs. Machine learning and data mining have ushered in a new era of protein prediction ( Xiong et al, 2012 ; Cao et al, 2014 ; Wei et al, 2014 ; Chen et al, 2016 ; Ding et al, 2016 ; Wei et al, 2016 ; Zou et al, 2016 ; Zeng et al, 2017a ; Zhang et al, 2017 ; Xiong et al, 2018a ; Bu et al, 2018 ; Liao et al, 2018 ; Wei et al, 2018 ; Cao et al, 2019 ; Chao et al, 2019 ; Chen et al, 2019 ; Le and Nguyen, 2019 ; Liu et al, 2019 ; Małysiak-Mrozek et al, 2019 ; Meng et al, 2019 ; Ghulam et al, 2020 ; Guo et al, 2021 ; Qian et al, 2022 ; Tiwari et al, 2022 ).…”

“…In the field of biology, these can be used to describe the long-range forces between human blood cells and the long-range phase coherence in the bacteriorhodospin macromolecules [4]. With the advent of quantum state engineering [5][6][7], quantum computing and communication ( [8,9] and references therein), a large number of theoretical as well as experimental strategies have been proposed for manufacturing and controlling various types of coherent states [10,11].…”
