Abstract: Mannich bases form promising group of compounds which could be a source of potential candidates for future drugs. The knowledge about their biological activities at the cellular and tissue level is needed to be explored. The toxicity of vital thiol group present in the microorganisms is attacked by the active units released by the Mannich bases.
