The nutritional status of a person can be measured by neck circumference. This measurement uses a tape measure that is looped around the neck just below the larynx and perpendicular to the length of the neck. The parameters of neck circumference used to assess nutritional status are > 34 cm in women with BMI > 25 kg/m2 and > 36.5 cm in women with BMI > 30 kg/m2 with an accuracy rate of 99%. Being overweight and obese during pregnancy and childbirth will increase the risk of chronic disease in both mother and child. Pregnant women with obesity are at risk for pregnancy complications such as gestational hypertension, preeclampsia, gestational diabetes mellitus, and more often undergo cesarean delivery due to a baby born prematurely. An observational study with a case-control design using a cross-sectional approach was carried out by measuring neck circumference in 130 pregnant women with gestational age above 20 weeks which was divided into 65 respondents of pregnant women with preeclampsia and 65 respondents of pregnant women without complications. This research was conducted on pregnant women in Tangerang Regency. The chi-square test is used to analyze the data with a significant value of 0.05. The results of the Chi-Square test obtained a p-value of 0.000 (p<0.05), indicating a relationship between neck circumference and the occurrence of preeclampsia in pregnant women. The Contingency Coefficient value of 0.493 indicates the impact of obesity on the occurrence of preeclampsia by 49.3%, while other factors that influence preeclampsia are 50.7%. Neck circumference can be used as a method to assess nutritional status in pregnant women to prevent preeclampsia.International Journal of Human and Health Sciences Vol. 07 No. 02 April’23 Page: 139-143

Hypertension is the fifth leading cause of death in Indonesia. Hypertension occurs because the blood vessels are continuously experiencing high pressure. Medical device that supports doctors and other health workers in diagnosing hypertension is sphygmomanometer. Sphygmomanometer is an instrument for measuring blood pressure. Accuracy of blood pressure measurement is very important in diagnosing hypertension. An Error in measuring blood pressure will be fatal for patients, health workers, and health facilities. So that this study aims to analyze the quality of automatic and non-automatic sphygmomanometer. This research method is in form of quantitative research based on experiments. The data was taken by using direct measurements. Measurements were carried out by using the 2018 Ministry of Health work method. Quality assessment of the sphygmomanometer was taken based on the results of sphygmomanometer calibration analysis. Automatic sphygmomanometer with the OMRON brand got score 95 and the non-automatic sphygmomanometer with the ABN brand got score 97.3. The results of the analysis showed that both tools had high accuracy of pressure measurement and were within tolerance limits. So it can be concluded that both tools are feasible to use.

Hipertensi pada ibu hamil merupakan salah satu penyebab kematian ibu tertinggi. Preeklampsia berat merupakan penyebab yang menimbulkan komplikasi yang dapat berujung pada kematian. penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kejadian HDK. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah observasional analitik dengan pendekatan case control. Populasi seluruh ibu hamil, dengan sampel sebanyak 47 ibu hamil, menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan kriteria inklusi. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Dengan menggunakan uji statistik Chi-Square,mpenelitian dilakukan pada ibu hamil di Poli kandungan RSUD Ngimbang Lamongan. Berdasarkan hasil uji statistik dengan menggunakan Uji Chi Square diperoleh nilai p sama dengan 0,000 (P kurang dari 0,05) artinya ada hubungan antara riwayat hipertensi dengan kejadian hipertensi pada ibu hamil. Nilai OR sebesar 262,857 berarti riwayat hipertensi mempunyai resiko sebesar mempengaruhi kejadian hipertensi dalam kehamilan. Kesimpulan HDK disebabkan oleh faktor riwayat hipertensi dan kebiasaan konsumsi kopi. Saran kepada ibu hamil agar dapat menghindari faktor resiko bisa terjadinya hipertensi dalam kehamilan dan diharapkan kepada para petugas kesehatan agar dapat memberikan penyuluhan dan edukasi kesehatan deteksi dini kepada ibu hamil agar dapat menghindari faktor resiko penyebab hipertensi.
