Kein Anstieg von Inzidenz, Therapie- und Erblindungsrate der Retinopathia praematurorum in einem universitären Perinatalzentrum Level 1 - eine prospektive Beobachtungsstudie von 1978 - 2007
Abstract:Inspite of an increase of the number of ELBW/ELGA infants and their survival rate in 1978 - 2007 there is no increase in the incidence of ROP, operations and blindness among the VLBW and VLGA infants.
In VLBW preterm Chinese infants, lower GA, lighter BW, and intraventricular hemorrhage were significant risk factors for ROP, whereas preeclampsia and eclampsia were protective.
Background: To report the incidence of retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) in a subgroup of extremely premature infants admitted to an Australian tertiary centre over an 18-year period.
