Keanekaragaman Jenis Gastropoda Pada Ekosistem Hutan Mangrove Di Desa Sungai Nilam Kecamatan Jawai Kabupaten Sambas

Abstract

The mangrove ecosystem is an ecosystem that significantly contributes to the availability of organic detritus, which plays an essential role as a source of energy for biota living in the surrounding waters. The condition of the mangrove forest in Sungai Nilam Village is a natural mangrove forest, and there is no exceptional management by the local community. The mangrove forest of Sungai Nilam Village is also a habitat for gastropods that are often used by the community as food for consumption. One of the biotas that inhabit mangrove forests is Gastropods. This study aims to examine the diversity of gastropod species in the mangrove forest ecosystem in Sungai Nilam Village, Jawai District, Sambas Regency, in May-June 2019. Sampling used survey methods and data collection techniques using purposive sampling by making three observation lines. This research is divided into three research lines divided into 3, namely front, close to the river, middle, and rear, close to land vegetation. Determination of the path based on the survey results, namely by making a direction parallel to the river line, starting to find gastropods. For each research path of 300 m, ten plots will be made with a size of 1 X 1 meter. The distance between fields is 30-meters, and the distance between lanes is 250 meters. The results of the research that has been done found that there are eight types of gastropods from 4 families. The types of gastropods found were Cerithidea abtusa, Cerithidea cingulata, Cassidula auriferis, Cassidula nucleus, Ellobium aurisjudae, Nerita violacea, Littoraria scabra, Pythia plicata.Keywords: Gastropods, Species Differences, Mangrove EcosystemAbstrakEkosistem mangrove merupakan ekosistem yang memberikan kontribusi besar terhadap ketersediaan detritus organik, yang berperan penting sebagai sumber energi biota yang hidup di perairan sekitarnya. Kondisi hutan mangrove di Desa Sungai Nilam adalah hutan mangrove yang alami dan tidak ada pengelolaan secara khusus oleh masyarakat setempat. Hutan mangrove Desa Sungai Nilam juga menjadi habitat gastropoda yang sering dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat sebagai bahan konsumsi. Salah satu biota yang menghuni hutan mangrove adalah Gastropoda. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji keanekaragaman jenis gastropoda, pada ekosistem hutan mangrove di Desa Sungai Nilam Kecamatan Jawai Kabutepaten Sambas pada Mei-Juni 2019. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode survey dan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan purposive sampling dengan membuat 3 jalur pengamatan. Penelitian ini dibuat menjadi 3 jalur penelitian yang terbagi menjadi 3 yaitu depan dekat dengan sungai, tengah dan belakang dekat dengan vegetasi darat. Penentuan jalur berdasarkan hasil survey yaitu dengan membuat jalur sejajar garis sungai mulai ditemukannya gastropoda. Setiap jalur penelitian sepanjang 300 m akan dibuat 10 plot dengan ukuran 1 X 1 meter. Jarak antar plot 30-meter dan jarak antar jalur adalah 250 meter. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan, ditemukan bahwa terdapat 8 jenis gastropoda dari 4 famili. Jenis-jenis gastropoda yang ditemukan adalah Cerithidea abtusa, Cerithidea cingulata, Cassidula auriferis, Cassidula nucleus, Ellobium aurisjudae, Nerita violacea, Littoraria scabra dan Pythia plicata.
