Keanekaragaman dan Biomassa Ikan Karang serta Keterkaitannya dengan Tutupan Karang Hidup di Perairan Manggis, Kabupaten Karangasem, Bali

Abstract: The existence of coral reef fish is closely related to the availability of coral reef resource as a habitat. Coral reef fish is a biota that has a fascination with a variety of color patterns and fascinating. Differences in coral cover conditions will affect the abundance of coral reef fish, especially those with strong linkages to living corals. This research was conducted in June - August 2017 by using line intercept transect (LIT) method for coral cover percentage and visual census method for biodiversity a… Show more

“…The average abundance of reef fish biomass on Gosong Island is 274.1 ± 1496.4 kg/ha The highest biomass is found at station one with a value of 5007.6 ± 4327.75 kg/ha and the lowest biomass is at station three with biomass of 93,4 ± 29.8 kg/ha (Figure 10). The average abundance of reef fish biomass in the research location is higher than in several other locations that have been researched, such as Putra et al (2019) in Mangosteen waters of Karangasem, Bali and Fazillah et al (2020) in waters of Ujong Pancu Aceh Besar.…”

“…Reef fish are fish that live part or all of their lives in coral reef ecosystem. The composition of reef fish found is influenced by the condition of coral reefs, chemical, physical, and biological conditions of the waters [23]. The results of observing the composition of reef fish from eight observation stations in the Kepulauan Seribu Marine National Park area during two monitoring sessions (see Figure 10) showed that in the first monitoring, there were 18 families of reef fish, 34 genera, 62 species, and 3139 individuals.…”
