The Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology officially launched the Merdeka curriculum (literally, the Independent Curriculum) in February 2022. This curriculum aims to recover (learning loss) during the COVID-19 pandemic and to produce students with Pancasila characteristics. This is one of the reasons to include a Pancasila learning profiling program in this curriculum. The Pancasila student profile includes six dimensions, such as faith and devotion to God the Almighty, global diversity, independent, mutual cooperation, critical reasoning, and creative. This curriculum is applied at all levels of education in Indonesia, both public and private. This current study is library research, that aims to find Islamic religious education values in Pancasila student profiles. This research employs a theoretical-conceptual approach. The data collection technique used was the documentation technique. The findings of this research show that each dimension in the profile of Pancasila students has been taught in Islamic Religious Education before the launch of the Merdeka curriculum. Therefore, this research confirms that the Pancasila student profile is an interpretation of contemporary Islamic religious education.

Language in the reality of society, affects the way speakers think and act. It also affects the social and cultural dynamics of society. The reciprocal influence of language and culture is inevitable. In the context of the Islamic Malay community of Kerinci, the influence of language and culture can be seen in the lives of the people. This is because the language in the cultural tradition of the Malay Islamic Kerinci society has been unified in all aspects of people's lives. To prove this, qualitative research logic is used and refined by two approaches, namely; The ethnographic approach is used to examine the religious life of the ethnic Malay community of Kerinci Islam from the point of view of religion, culture, and history. To see the changes and dynamics that occur in the Malay Islamic society of Kerinci, the approach to the concept of capital developed by Bourdieu is also used to reflect the dynamics of people's lives in the context of Islam and the traditions of the Malay Islamic society of Kerinci. The findings of this study cover aspects of the multicultural spectrum, the tahlilan tradition, and the language spectrum. These three things are evidence of the reciprocal influence of language on the Malay Islamic cultural tradition of Kerinci. The absorption of other languages in the Malay Islamic Kerinci language affects the culture of the users of that language. The arrival of Islam with the concept of language has changed the lifestyle of the mystical community into a rational society, and still accommodates the local traditions of the Kerinci Islamic Malay community.

The paradigm shift in the inclusive Islamic education curriculum is an essential part of Presidential Decree No. 7 of 2021. There is a tendency for religious learning to be normative-indoctrinative and lead to truth claims, raising suspicions that religious education contributes to the generation of extreme views. PPIM UIN Jakarta research shows that the PAI curriculum is still ambiguous on the issue of tolerance, and there is a tendency for PAI teachers to have an intolerance opinion towards minorities by 34%, and towards adherents of other religions by 29%. This study discusses the concept of inclusive education in Islam, the urgency of inclusive Islamic education, and the paradigm shift from exclusive to inclusive. This research is a literature study with a rationalistic approach. Data analysis uses reflective thinking logically to interpret the inclusive values of Islamic education and reflect them into strategic steps to answer the challenge of exclusivity. This study shows that Islam carries an inclusive spirit characterized by terminologies such as at-ta'arruf, at-tasammuh, at-tawassuth, and at-ta'awun. The urgency of inclusive Islamic education is intended so that the character of inclusive Islam is truly taught in learning. To change the paradigm of Islamic education from exclusive to inclusive, improvements are needed in curriculum elements, educators, and learning strategies.
