Karakter Motilitas Spermatozoa Hasil Sexing pada Sapi Peranakan Ongole dengan Volume Awal yang Berbeda

Abstract: ABSTRAK. Show more

“…These result were obtained because management of frozen semen production did not affect spermatozoa biology. This results in this study is higher than the report of Mustofa et al (2020) whom report that the best VCL value on sexed semen of Ongole crossbreed was 55.2 μm/s. VCL is the velocity of spermatozoa on their pathway measured in μm/s.…”

“…VCL for spermatozoa Y (112.97μm/s) is significantly higher than that of spermatozoa without sexing (95.04μm/s) and spermatozoa X (93.95μm/s). The findings of this study indicate a higher value compared to the report by Mustofa et al (2020), who stated that the optimal VCL value for sexed semen of Ongole crossbreed was 55.2 μm/s. Similar to the values of DCL, DAP, and DSL, spermatozoa Y have higher velocity values compared to spermatozoa X.…”

“…According to Munazaroh et al, (2013) a decrease in spermatozoa viability can be caused by friction between spermatozoa and each other, temperature, storage time for cell metabolism, and availability of nutrients. According to Mustofa et al, (2021) one solution to increase the percentage of spermatozoa viability after thawing is to mix 0,1 mg/100 green tea extract into the dilute.…”

“…Spermatozoa with an intact plasma membrane is characterized by a spermatozoa tail that looks circular, whereas spermatozoa with a damaged plasma membrane are characterized by a tail that looks straight (Mustofa et al, 2021). The addition of HOS solution to semen makes the pressure on the spermatozoa cells become hyperosmotic compared to the outside of the cells.…”
