Public Street Lighting (PSL) is one of the complementary road buildings used to illuminate the road. Solar Public Street Lighting (SPSL) is used in several places in Indonesia. Based on the background above, the objectives of this study are (1) to obtain the results of technical analysis of SPSL, (2) to obtain the results of economic analysis of SPSL development using investment schemes. The research was conducted in Manokwari Regency, West Papua. The research data were obtained from the results of measurements on solar panels to solar charge controllers and measurements from solar charge controllers to batteries in sunny, cloudy or rainy weather conditions from 08:00 WIT to 17:00 WIT. Economic analysis is carried out to obtain the parameters of Net Present Value (NPV), and Benefit Cost Ratio (B/C Ratio) with discount rates of 10% and 0%. The results showed that (1) based on technical analysis SPSL in Manokwari Regency has met public street lighting standards, in accordance with the Minister of Transportation Regulation No. 27 of 2018 concerning street lighting equipment. (2) An economic analysis shows that the development of SPSL with investment schemes is not feasible because the NPV value < 0 with an IRR of 10%, and a B/C Ratio of < 1. The construction of SPSL is economically feasible if the calculation of 0% IRR with the price of electricity per kWh reaches a value of IDR 14,411.32 or approximately ten times the price of Non-Subsidized PLN kWh electricity which is worth IDR 1,444.70.

Masa pandemi Covid-19 meningkatkan resiko tertular bagi tenaga medis di semua fasilitas kesehatan yang ada. Untuk mengurangi resiko penularan, maka dibuatlah protokol kesehatan, salah satu protokol yang diterapkan pada tenaga medis yang melayani masyarakat adalah penggunaan Alat Pelindung Diri (APD). Peningkatan penggunaan APD di fasilitas kesehatan menimbulkan persoalan tersendiri, yaitu semakin banyaknya limbah medis yang harus dikelola/dimusnahkan. Di lain pihak, pengelolaan limbah medis tidak bisa sembarangan karena tergolong limbah B3, harus mengikuti prosedur tertentu agar tidak ada resiko limbah medis tersebut kepada kesehatan masyarakat. Pengelolaan limbah medis juga memerlukan biaya untuk pengolahan dan pelayanannya. Usulan solusi yang ditawarkan adalah Teknologi Tepat Guna (TTG) berupa alat pengolah limbah medis dengan sistem pemusnahan/pembakaran, yaitu insinerator. Insinerator yang digunakan berbahan bakar biomassa arang dan kayu limbah. Abu sisa hasil pembakaran dapat dijadikan pencampur semen atau ditimbun di tempat pembuangan. Untuk mengetahui efektifitas dari alat, maka dilakukan pengujian pengukuran temperatur ruang bakar. Tahapan yang dilalui dalam pelaksanaan program ini adalah identifikasi kebutuhan mitra, perancangan, pembuatan, uji operasi, pendampingan operasional, dan penerapan TTG kepada mitra. Hasil dari pegujian insinerator didapatkan bahwa temperatur ruang bakar berkisar antara 350-450°C. Insinerator dapat digunakan untuk membakar limbah medis kering seperti APD, limbah medis plastik, sarung tangan karet, dan sejenisnya. Limbah medis basah seperti popok dan benda penyerap cairan lainnya, setelah pengujian, tidak terbakar habis sepenuhnya.

Non-optimized medical waste treatment can produce biological residues of Bacillus subtilis and Bacillus stearothermophilus bacteria, which are agents of various diseases. The first purpose of this study was to determine the difference in the length of contact time and dose of green betel leaf (Piper betle Linn.) extract on the number of Bacillus sp. in the medical waste recycling process. This study's second purpose was to determine the total Bacillus subtilis and Bacillus stearothermophilus reduction after treatment. This study's research design was an experimental design (the after-only design). The concentrations used were 0.03%, 0.05%, 0.07%, 0.3%, 0.5%, 0.7%, 3%, 5% and 7%, and contact times of 15, 30, and 45 minutes with 144 samples each. The ANOVA (one-way) test results showed that there were no differences in the length of contact time and dose of Piper betle Linn. extract as a disinfectant on the number of Bacillus subtilis in the medical waste recycling process. The smallest amount of Bacillus sp. was found at a concentration of 0.05% green betel leaf immersion (330 colonies/ml), and the largest colonies occurred at a concentration of 3% immersion (658 colonies/ml). The contact time and concentration of green betel leaves had no difference on the number of Bacillus sp., but the concentration of 3% showed optimal results in reducing these bacteria. Antimicrobial Piper betle Linn. content can be developed for further research in the removal of bacteria or other parasites.
