Kairomones for Increasing the Biological Control Efficiency of Insect Natural Enemies

Abstract: Insect natural enemies exploit a variety of chemical signals from different trophic levels as kairomones and synomones to locate their herbivorous host and their habitat. Herbivore-induced plant odor synomones; prey-/hostrelated kairomones from materials such as eggs, larval cuticular extracts, and insect frass; or even host pheromones lead natural enemies to their hosts which further results in successful parasitization.
