Abstract:The shaft-seal connection is a critical element of any unit, and its reliability is important to ensure the service life of the entire assembly unit. Treatment by surface plastic deformation makes it possible to provide hardening to a depth of up to 2 mm, microhardness increases on average by 150% relative to the initial value, and reaches a value of 6500 MPa.
