Abstract: Zusammenfassung Hintergrund In den letzten Jahren verringerte sich die frühgeburtliche Morbidität und Mortalität über Ländergrenzen hinweg deutlich. Allen Untersuchungen gemeinsam ist aber eine höhere Betroffenheit und Sterblichkeit von Jungen gegenüber Mädchen, insbesondere bei der nekrotisierenden Enterokolitis.
