Abstract:ZrSi2–SiC powder was employed as the joining material to join SiC ceramics in this study. The effects of SiC particle (SiCp) content and joining temperature on the phase composition, microstructure, and shear strength of SiC joints were studied and reported for the first time. Research results showed that introduction of SiCp into the interlayer improved the mechanical performance of the joint.
