“…Therefore, radiographs and computed tomography imaging are mostly used. While radiographs can reveal features such as free air under the diaphragm or others [ 1 , 8 , 11 , 13 – 18 ], many were unremarkable [ 5 , 6 , 9 , 19 – 23 ]. However, CT imaging is a more reliable method of diagnosis and was able to show the features of this entity in all cases when it was obtained [ 1 , 4 , 7 , 9 , 10 , 13 , 15 , 17 , 22 28 ].…”

“…The jejunal diverticula are 18 times more likely to perforate compared to the duodenal diverticula [4]. The most common sites of small bowel diverticular below the ligament of trietz are in proximal jejunum (75%), distal jejunum (20%), and ileum (5%) [5]. Seventy-seven percent of the cases of small bowel diverticula are multiple compared to a single isolated diverticulum [6].…”

“…The most common part of the small bowel where diverticula can be developed is the proximal jejunum (75%), followed by the distal (20%) and then the ileum (5%) [24]. Coexistent diverticula can be found in colon 20%-70%, in the duodenum 10%-40%, and in the esophagus and stomach 2% of patients [25,26].…”
