Abstract:ABSTRACT:The kinetics and mechanism of oxidation of Phenylephrine (PHE) by Chloramine-T (CAT) in acid media have been investigated by spectroscopic technique at the temperature of 298 K. It is found that the reaction is of first order with respect to PHE, fractional order with respect to CAT & inverse order with respect to H + .
