With doppler-reduced /nter_modulated opto_galvanic _saturation laserspectroscopy (IMOGS) in Eu I the isotope shift (IS) and hyperfine structure (hfs) of the remaining baD term of the configuration 4 f v 5d6s was investigated. With the help of former measurements in our group (a6'l°D) and by other authors (aS'l°D) the IS of the now complete configuration (20 levels) was analysed with wavefunctions by J.-F. Wyart. From the parametric description of the IS resulted the necessity also to include the often neglected small parameter g~ (gl (4f, 5 d)= 9.3 (3) MHz), which is mainly due to the specific mass shift. The IS of all 20 levels can be well described by further crossed-second-order parameters gz(5d, 6 s ) = -4 0 1 ( 5 ) MHz and g3(4f, 6 s ) = -2 7 ( 1 ) MHz and one common J-dependent parameter z5a = 40.4(4.1) M H z . -With effective one-electron parameters a kz, b kt an interpretation of the magnetic and electric hfs (except for a few disturbed levels) could also be carried out.
