Once the ivermectin was used in the United States, the number of calls to Poison Control Centers may have increased; in Oregon in the month of August, 2021, there were 21 such calls, 6 patients required admission to the hospital, and 4 of them received care in an intensive care unit for ataxia or hypotension, but a causal relationship was difficult to ascertain as the mechanism is not known.…”
