It's not shocking that the SCAI shock classification works

Abstract: Key Points Cardiogenic shock mortality is extremely variable and likely is related to the heterogeneous population and hemodynamic differences in patients. The National Cardiogenic Shock Initiative (NCSI) demonstrated that patients in SCAI shock class E had the worst prognosis, but mortality in all classes was better than expected, perhaps due to applying a vigorous treatment protocol.
