Abstract: BACKGROUND Acne often worsens in transmen on prolonged testosterone therapy. Isotretinoin is an oral retinoid used in the treatment of severe or refractory cases of acne, though it has been previously reported to cause hypertrophic scarring in patients undergoing some surgical procedures.
