Abstract:The isotopic ratios of radioactive cesium derived from the Fukushima accident were determined by "-spectrometry and thermal ionization mass spectrometry (TIMS). In order to ascertain the initial ratios at the time of the accident, environmental samples collected during 2011 were used for the analysis. Soil, litter, and seaweed were incinerated, and the cesium contained therein was adsorbed into ammonium phosphomolybdate powder. The cesium in the seawater was adsorbed into AMP-PAN resin (Eichrom Technologies, L… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
