Cross-section measurements for (n, 2n) and (n, p) reactions on platinum isotopes in the neutron energy range of 13.5 to 14.6 MeV

“…For the 196 Pt(n, p) 196m Ir reaction our result is in agreement with Hankla and Fink [7] as well as with Molla and Qaim [15]. The crosssection for 198 Pt(n, 2n) 197m+g Pt reaction is in agreement with those of Winiwarter [10] and Qaim [11]. Our results for the cross-section of the 198 Pt(n, 2n) 197m Pt reaction are in agreement with those of Hankla and Fink [7], Mangal and Khurana [8] and Bormann et al [12].…”

“…Here, we adduced several authors (Bormann et al, 1970;Coleman et al, 1959;Hankla and Fink, 1972;Hlavac et al, 1976;Luo et al, 2005;Mangal and Khurana, 1965;Molla and Qaim, 1977;Qaim, 1972;Winiwarter, 1970), but the cross-sections of nat Pt(n,x) 195m Pt reactions were measured by few laboratories (Lu et al, 1987). Thus, we investigate them in order to give the cross-section of the element producing certain radioactive product nuclide.…”
