Isolation and mapping of porcine chromosome‐specific microsatellites

Abstract: Summary Isolation of microsatellites from targeted chromosomes is an alternative approach for constructing high density genetic maps. In this study new microsatellite markers from a targeted chromosome were isolated and integrated in the USDA map. Flow sorted chromosomes were amplified with different random primers by PARM‐PCR, selected by fragment size and cloned.
