Abstract:Summary
Isolation of microsatellites from targeted chromosomes is an alternative approach for constructing high density genetic maps. In this study new microsatellite markers from a targeted chromosome were isolated and integrated in the USDA map. Flow sorted chromosomes were amplified with different random primers by PARM‐PCR, selected by fragment size and cloned. Material of a second PARM‐PCR and a (TG)10 probe were used for screening a porcine genomic cosmid library. A number of 10 000 flow sorted chromosom… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
