Materials and Methods Sources of chemicalsSilica gel F254, Silica gel 60 PF254 containing gypsum, dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO), methanol, chloroform, n-hexane, and ethyl acetate were obtained from Merck, United States. Dextrose, nutrient agar (NA), and Mueller Hinton were purchased from Oxoid, United Kingdom. RPMI 1640, fetal bovine serum, penicillin, streptomycin, fungizone, sodium bicarbonate, and L-glutamine were supplied by Gibco, United States. HEPES (4-[2-hydroxyethyl]-1piperazineethanesulfonic acid) were purchased from Invitrogen, United States. DPPH (2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl) and MTT (3-[4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl]-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide) were obtained from Sigma-Aldrich, United Statesμ.
