Isolated Hepatic Perfusion with Melphalan for Primary or Metastatic Unresectable Cancers of the Liver: Safety and Feasibility in A U.S. Academic Medical Center

Abstract: Background: Although isolated hepatic perfusion (IHP) has been under clinical evaluation for over 50 years, it has not gained wide application due to both the complexity and the insufficient efficacy of the procedure. This study evaluated the feasibility and safety of this procedure at Massachusetts General Hospital.
