Abstract: On 30 January 2020, the Director-General declared that the outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) constitutes a Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC), and on 11 March 2020, it was characterized as a pandemic.
