“…Our recent collecting of trace fossils in the Mauch Chunk Formation in the Mount Carbon-Tumbling Run Reservoir area indicates that traces are abundant in the upper part of the middle member of the Mauch Chunk Formation (Fillmore et al, 2009). Many of these traces are in clay-draped sandstones similar to RPM 77-32-1, so we infer that its likely stratigraphic provenance is the upper part of the middle member of the Mauch Chunk Formation.…”
