“…However, when compared to other cruciferous vegetables, legumes, or whole-grain foods, higher levels of potato consumption before pregnancy were found to be associated with a higher risk of GDM [ 23 ]. There is only one systematic review that indicated that fruit intake before pregnancy is associated with the risk of GDM, but this review did not assess the effects of vegetable or fruit juices on the incidence of GDM [ 24 ].
