Is the Use of Routine Echocardiograms Warranted in Large Pediatric Burns?

Abstract: Cardiac dysfunction can develop in large pediatric burns during the acute and recovery phase. When occurring in this population, the cardiac abnormality appears as left ventricular dysfunction or dilated cardiomyopathy.
