Abstract: We read with great interest the article ''The involvement of AMPA-ERK1/2-BDNF pathway in the mechanism of new antidepressant action of prokinetic meranzin hydrate'', in which the authors concluded that AMPA receptors were involved in the mechanism of the antidepressant effects of prokinetic meranzin hydrate (Xie et al. 2012).
