Abstract: Atrial fibrillation (AF) is an important risk factor for cardioembolic stroke. Warfarin is an effective treatment in reducing the risk of cardioembolic stroke in patients with AF. New anticoagulants have been widely using for stroke prophylaxis in patients with nonvalvular AF.
