We aim to empower citizens with special needs in public transport. We shift the role of passengers from being mere objects to self-determined individuals who choose how they travel. Through our socio-technical system, Mobisaar, we extend traditional public transport to accommodate different hindrances like fear or wheelchair use. Our core feature is a human-based door-to-door service facilitated by the so-called “mobility pilots.”, especially educated service persons. Alongside a coordination hub and various user interfaces for interacting with Mobisaar, such as apps and a call center, we aim to provide passengers with up-to-date information on Points of Interest (POI) during their trips. The Mobisaar WORLD database emphasizes easy-to-understand details, such as photos and videos, rather than technical descriptions. In this work, we focus on security, privacy, and trust, adhering to GDPR requirements. We address concerns by ensuring data trust and protecting personal information. We also explore the state-of-the-art in the field, including crowdsourcing platforms, security, privacy, and trust requirements. We aim to make Mobisaar WORLD an effective mechanism for data verification and safeguard personal information, especially regarding location privacy.
