“…In this study, compared with the control group, Cd treatment not only induced the production of H 2 O 2 but also resulted in the generation of MDA, indicating lipid peroxidation (Figure 1). Furthermore, the addition of Se (Cd + Se) depressed lipid peroxidation and H 2 O 2 content when compared with Cd treatment alone, results in conformity with preceding research reported by Lin et al (2012) in Cd-stressed rice, Liu et al (2015) in Cdstressed tobacco, Handa et al (2019) in Cr-stressed Indian mustard, and Shah et al (2022) As-stressed muskmelon which showed reduced levels of MDA and H 2 O 2 with Se supplementation.
