“…In Axenfeld-Rieger syndrome, there is mild stromal thinning of the iris, atrophy, and hole formation, and peripheral anterior synechiae are observed on the anteriorly displaced Schwalbe’s line. The pupil may be irregular, and the cornea presents with endothelial changes related to peripheral anterior synechiae 1,22–25. According to the aforementioned clinical entities, our patient had the differential characteristics of iridoschisis, although the exclusion of a diagnosis of iridocorneal endothelial syndrome or Axenfeld-Rieger syndrome can be sometimes difficult.…”
