“…This peak disappears in BaTiF 6 sample indicating the absence of Ti-O bonds confirming the presence of F. The small peak at 860 cm -1 was attributed to Ti-F vibrations. The characteristic F-Ti-F stretching modes are observed at 450-600 cm -1 for BaTiF 6 photocatalyst [22]. The surface acidity of BaTiF 6 photocatalyst is expected to be higher than BaTiO 3 due to the strong electronegativity of fluorine [23].…”
