IoT-based Fire Detection and Prevention System

Abstract: Fire identification in homes is important to prevent property loss due to both natural and triggered fire events. Fire identification will prove to be very critical since the difference between life and death may mean it. Fires will come from anywhere and at any moment, but the existence of a fire alarm device helps to keep the family safe. The need to get a fire alarm device isn’t seen by certain people. They just think they’re going to smell the fire and sprint out of time. The typical time for a building to… Show more

“…While the method showcases the potential to enhance wildfire detection and prevention through advanced technology, limitations may include the complexity of implementation, potential resource requirements, and the need for robust cybersecurity measures. The paper from [21] addresses the crucial need for fire identification in homes to prevent property loss and safeguard lives. Emphasizing the rapid and unpredictable nature of fires, it argues that more than relying on the ability to smell smoke is required, given the short time frame for a building to burn down.…”

“…Sassani et al [34] designed a fire notification system that used a cloud-based system with sensors to detect fire to alert users through the internet using a single Application (App) with raspberry pi programmed using the python language and utilized google application for programming interface (API) for location detection. Hariveena et al [35], in their study about fire identification in homes, said that it was important to prevent property loss due to both natural and triggered fire event. Fire would come anywhere and any moment but the existence of fire alarm keeps family safe.…”
