Ionothermal Synthesis of Germanosilicate Zeolites Constructed with Double‐Four‐Ring Structure‐Building Units in the Presence of Organic Base

Abstract: The crystallization chemistry of silica-based zeolites in ionic liquidsr emains highly puzzlinga nd interesting in the field of zeolite science. Herein, we report the successful ionothermal synthesis of germanosilicate zeolites. The ionothermal templating effect with respectt ot he structure, alkalinity and concentrationo fo rganic additives was comparatively studied.T he results showedt hat as mall amount of organic base could effectively aid the dissolution of silica source and facilitate the crystallization… Show more

“…This was discussed in Wang et al work when they reported a successful ionothermal synthesis of STW and IRR germanosilicate zeolites. The authors had to deal with the competition between the organic base (TPABr, 1.6-HAD, TBAOH, TPAOH, TEAOH, TMAOH), and the use of ionic liquids (1-ethyl/butyl-3-methyl imidazolium and 1-benzyl-3-methyl imidazolium) as a template in forming the final framework [132].…”
