“…Tis essay models, estimates, and compares the TEC map (from the IRI-2012) of a moderate (Dst −55 nT) GS period, dated February 2, 2015, with Bézier curves (BC) [31][32][33][34] and an artifcial neural network (NN). Te reason why the essay commences with the IRI [9,[35][36][37] TEC atlas is that it does not need interpolation. An illustration of the interpolated TEC atlas can be noticed in the validation subsection of the modeling part.…”

“…The study concluded that solar weather conditions influence anomaly formation. In [17], TEC changes at the Mw:6.6 Bodrum earthquake were obtained from CODE-TEC maps, and the TEC anomalies before and after the earthquake were calculated. By comparing the calculated TEC anomalies with space weather conditions, the study concluded that anomalies occurring 11 days before the earthquake were related to the earthquake, while postearthquake anomalies were attributed to aftershocks or geomagnetic storms.…”

“…This study suggested that anomalies occurring 2-6 days before earthquakes may be related to earthquakes. In [20], TEC anomalies caused by the Mw:6.5 Samar Philippines earthquake were compared with the F10.7, Bz, P, E, Kp, and Dst indices. The TEC values were obtained from the IRI2016 model, and anomalies were calculated.…”
