Abstract: A new, simple, efficient, and environmentally friendly ionic liquid dispersive liquid–liquid microextractionmethod was developed for the determination of irinotecan, an anticancer drug, in water and urine samples using UV-Vis spectrophotometry. The ionic liquid 1-hexyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate was used as the extraction solvent, and ethanol was used as the disperser solvent.
