The search for a new biologically effective iodine compounds that may have practical use and do not cause toxic effects is relevant. The aim of the research was to examine the influence of nanocomposition based on citric acid -iodine helated compex (I 2 Citr) on the indices of thyroid system activity and metabolism in the blood serum of young male rats. Rats of the experimental groups received I 2 Citr with water daily for 40 days at a dose of 24 μg I/kg (1 st experimental group) and 240 μg I/kg (2 nd experimental group) of the body weight. The level of hormones and antibodies in the blood serum was determined with ELISA. Reduced Tg level and triacylglycerols content and elevated AntiTg, AntiTPO levels and Ca and albumin content in the serum of rats in both groups compared to control were observed. It was found that in the serum of rats in the 2 nd experimental group the levels of T3, T4 and urea, as well as the activity of alkaline phosphatase and AlAT were reduced. No changes in the coefficients of the rats internal organs mass were detected under the action of I 2 citr except for the spleen mass, which decreased by about 40% in the rats of 1 st group and by 33% -in rats of 2 nd group as compared to control. The data obtained indicate modulating influence of I 2 Citr in a studied doses on thyroid activity without causing toxic effects on animal organism. The research was carried out on two groups of broilers ROOS-308, divided into control (1) and experimental (2) groups, in the conditions of industrial cultivation and daily addition to water of nanotechnological citrates J, Se, S for 24-48 days of fattening. The research was aimed to identify the complex combined biological action of nanotechnological citrates J, Se, S in broiler chickens under conditions of their use for 2-3 growing periods. The 7-day changes dynamics in body weight, survival and death rate of chickens, the mass of internal organs and its correlation to chicken body mass at the day 48, the technological slaughter period, were defined as study periods. Blood and internal organs samples were taken to determine biochemical parameters and study its development by mass and mass coefficients at the slaughter period. The corrective effect of nanotechnological J, Se, S citrates on the protein indicators and mineral metabolism, growth and development of the liver, stomach, spleen and thyroid gland of chicken was identified. There was an increase in body weight gain of broiler chickens by 4-4,5 % during growth periods with the use of J, Se, S citrates and 5,2 % for day 48 of life while the mortality decreased by 0,62 % during the study period (Group 1 – 1,64 %; Group 2 – 1,02 %). The average daily gain during 48 days in the control Group 1 was 59,6 g with a body weight of 2859 g and the experimental Group 2 – 62,72 % with body weight of 3009 g respectively.
At the moment, an important issue for medicine and veterinary sciences is the lack of iodine and selenium in human and animal bodies. The problem of I, Se, and S deficiency in livestock has not been solved yet, which motivates the development of new effective compounds of these elements. Particularly noteworthy are the citrates of minor nutrient elements included in mineral premixes and feed additives used to balance mineral nutrition in the diets of animals and poultry. The purpose of this paper is to study the efficacy of different doses of I, Se, S citrate on the intensity of metabolic processes in the body of chicken broilers before and after the intragastric introduction of E. coli. It was found that watering of chicken broilers with I, Se, S citrate has antibacterial action. As a result of the conducted studies, it was revealed that the applied doses of I, Se, S caused both prophylactic (E2) and therapeutic (E4) effect on the development of colibacillosis in broiler chickens. This effect is more pronounced with higher doses of Iodine (20 μg/dm3) in I, Se, S citrate for therapeutic purposes, which contributed to the 100% preservation of the chicken population. High metabolic activity of low doses of I, Se, S citrate with a content of 2.5 μg I dm3 was noted. It provided the highest weight gain of chickens and reaching 780 g on the 35th day of growing, or 121.5% versus control and 788.4 g (119.9% versus control) on 42nd day of growing in the vivarium. The obtained data indicate a positive influence of watering I, Se, S citrate with a content of 20 μg I/dm3, which was characterised by 100% preservation of chickens throughout the growing period
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
