Abstract: However, it is unlikely to miss them under magnification in digital phototrichogram (Fig. 1). Trichoscopy allows distinguishing between normal terminal hairs and vellus hairs, which are 0.03 mm or less in thickness and less than 3 mm in length. 16,17 Hence, we conclude that the higher number of hairs counted during the follow-up in our patient reflects HF neogenesis and does not reflect transformation of vellus hair to terminal hair under hormonal influence.
