En el presente estudio, se reportan los resultados de la valoración de las dinámicas familiares en personas víctimas de violencia intrafamiliar. Para ello se adoptó un enfoque sistémico familiar y se aplicó la técnica de los genogramas. Se evaluó a 79 personas que acudieron al Ministerio Público de la ciudad de Arequipa, quienes fueron seleccionadas mediante muestreo por cuotas. Como instrumentos se emplearon una ficha de datos sociodemográficos, una hoja de evaluación de genograma y una lista de cotejo. Los datos se procesaron descriptivamente dada la naturaleza de la data obtenida. Los resultados indican que el 78.48% de personas ha sufrido de violencia física, siendo en su mayoría mujeres (83.9%) y que provienen de familias nucleares. Asimismo, sus relaciones con sus padres han sido nulas o distantes, y en sus familias propias, que suelen ser nucleares, las relaciones con sus parejas son conflictivas, mientras que las relaciones con sus hijos tienden a ser distantes, fusionadas y conflictivas.

Within the Couple and Family Therapy literature, there are few articles directly linking theory to treatment within the lesbian community. Utilizing contextual theory, the author presents a gay affirmative therapeutic approach to work with lesbian couples. The fundamental concepts of contextual therapy are uniquely suited for work with lesbian clients; particularly the four dimensions of individual psychology, relational ethics, systemic interaction, and facts. A case study is presented to highlight this therapeutic process. This article is one step in a larger systemic change related to the challenge of adapting theoretical methodology and gathering evidence for effective treatment of marginalized groups.This article attempts to address a gap in the Couple and Family Therapy (CFT) treatment literature related to utilizing CFT theory with lesbian cou-). Contextual therapy is a large and complicated theoretical approach that has many components that make it well suited to work with the lesbian community. When the core concepts of contextual are combined with an affirmative lens, a framework emerges for effective treatment. Background Parentification is a pattern of family interactions when either a child or an adolescent accepts roles and obligations fulfilled by adults. Being burdened with duties and taking care of parents makes separation, as well as fulfilment of development tasks and acceptance of roles suitable for a child, difficult. Simultaneously parentification might constitute a factor which forms resilience and functional coping manners. The aim of the study was to broaden the knowledge about parentification and its connections with the features of the family system. Participants and procedure The participants were 89 people divided into triads including the youngster in his/her late teens and his/her parents. The youngsters filled in Hooper’s Parentification Inventory and Olson’s Family Evaluation Scale (FES), in Margasiński’s adaptation, and assessed the bond with family members using a drawing scale. The parents also filled in the FES, and additionally they evaluated the level of conflict intensity and tension in a partner relationship by means of a modified version of the Cantril Ladder. Results Perception of the benefits of parentification differentiated the adolescents from well-balanced and ill-balanced families. Additionally, the stronger the bond the adolescents shared with their parents and the higher they assessed their satisfaction with family life and communications in the family, the more positive was their view of the effects of parentification. The predictor for the perception of the benefits of parentification by adolescents turned out to be the family’s cohesion. Conclusions The assessment of the functioning of the family system is essential. When, according to adolescents, the family system is functioning effectively, they can use the family resources and positively reformulate even negative experiences concerned with parentification.
